Gen 1:1–6

1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2
Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the
surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the
surface of the water.
3
God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light!
4
God saw that the light was good, so God separated the light from the
darkness.
5
God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” There was evening,
and there was morning, marking the first day.
6
God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters and let it
separate water from water.”

John 1 and Colossians 1:16 point to the work of the Trinity in creation.
In Genesis we see the overflowing love and life of the Trinity that results in creation.

Three questions:

Why does the Trinity matter?
Check this out https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/5-reasons-trinity/

Can you see the work of the Trinity in nature?

Marvel at the work of the triune God today – watch a nature documentary or visit somewhere beautiful

Prayer:

Acknowledge God as creator.

Give thanks that God created all that we know and see in love and grace.

Ask God to help you see creation as His and to enjoy it as His creation.
