Matthew 6:27–29

 

27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these.

In a world obsessed with how others see them, Jesus offers us a different way

 

Three questions:

Does this mean we should just wear ‘whatever’?

 

How deeply do you care about how others perceive you?

 

Why do you dress the way you do?

 

Prayer:

Praise God that He gives us a better way of living, where we can be free from the unhelpful desires of the world. Give thanks for Jesus who shows us how we can be freer from the anxieties of this world. Ask God to help you + someone else trust Him, that He will provide for our needs and even our wants where they align with Him & His Kingdom.
