A new term brings a new sermon series! For the next 8 weeks (until 08 SEP 2024), we’ll be studying the books of Esther and Ruth on Sundays and in our Small Groups. This series is titled The Unseen Author.

Have you ever wondered where God is in the midst of life’s challenges? When things seem uncertain or difficult, we can sometimes question whether God is present and if He truly cares about the details of our lives. In the bible, the narratives of Esther and Ruth offer profound insights into these questions. Their stories reveal a God who works unseen yet faithfully in the lives of His people.

In this series, we’ll encounter characters grappling with circumstances where God’s presence isn’t visibly evident. Esther, a Jewish orphan turned queen, navigates a perilous political landscape to save her people from destruction. Ruth, a foreign widow, finds herself in a foreign land, where her faithfulness and humility lead to unexpected blessings.

Despite the absence of direct divine intervention, the stories of Esther and Ruth showcase God’s providential care. They remind us that even when we cannot see Him at work, God is intricately involved in orchestrating events for ultimate good.

We’ll be challenged and encouraged to…

  • trust in God’s sovereignty because even when we cannot perceive His presence, God is actively working in our lives.
  • seek God’s guidance and trust His plan, especially in times of uncertainty.
  • rest in God’s promises because His faithfulness endures through all circumstances, and He has demonstrated His care for His people across generations.

As we jump in to the books of Esther and Ruth, we’ll see a God who remains faithful and caring, even in the midst of life’s storms. Though unseen, His presence and provision are constant, guiding us through every chapter of our lives.
