1 Pet 3:3–4

3:3
Let your beauty not be external – the braiding of hair and wearing of gold
jewelry or fine clothes –
4
but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and
tranquil spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.

One thought:

So many of us struggle or are at least tempted in the area of body image – how desperately we need to change our desire to that of inner beauty that pleases God

Three questions:

This passage is directed at women but I think we can all relate. Look at Ephesians 4:22-24, Colossians 3:9-10.

How do you feel about your inner person? What might need to change here?

What’s one thing you could do to ‘enhance the beauty of your inner self’ this week?

Prayer:

Give thanks that God has made us new on the inside.

Give thanks that we have the Holy Spirit to help us become more beautiful in our inner being.

Ask God to help you adorn yourself with things that He considered precious.
