Is Trusting God Worth It, Even If You Suffer for Him?
That’s the question at the heart of our new series—and the question the book of Job boldly tackles.
We often turn to the Bible looking for answers, especially when life hurts. And yes, Job suffers—deeply. But if we turn to the Bible only in search of answers we hope will end our suffering, we’ll miss the point. The book of Job isn’t primarily about suffering. It’s about God.
Job suffers as a believer, because he believes. But the spotlight doesn’t stay on Job—it shifts to the God Job responds to. What kind of God is He? Can He be trusted? Is He just? Good? Sovereign? And what does it mean to worship Him in the dark, when nothing makes sense?
Throughout its 42 chapters—written mostly in vivid, poetic language—the book of Job doesn’t offer neat answers. But what it does give us is something far greater: God Himself. The book of Job invites us to bow before our Creator—not just when we understand, but even when we don’t. It calls us to worship with both mind and heart, in seasons of clarity and in the depths of confusion.
So here’s your invitation: Starting Sunday 1st June through to 20th July, join us each Sunday as we journey through the book of Job. We’ll explore the character of God, the nature of true worship, and ultimately ask: Is trusting God still worth it, even when we suffer for Him?
We believe the answer is yes—and we’re looking forward to finding out why, together.
