Most of us know the “Christian to-do list” by heart: Read your Bible. Pray. Show up to Church on Sunday. Rinse and repeat.

Sometimes, these things feel less like a life-giving rhythm and more like a spiritual chore. Just another box to check before we get on with our “real” day. We’ve got the information, but have we lost the spark? Are we going through the motions out of duty while our hearts are miles away?

But prayer, for example, isn’t just talking into the void; it’s a conversation made possible because Jesus stood in our place. And worship isn’t just singing songs; it’s a response to the fact that God unfailingly loves us.

When we disconnect our habits from our love for God, we end up exhausted. But when those habits flow from our enjoyment of Him? That changes everything.

On Sunday 17 May, we’re starting an eight-week series called For the Love of God. This isn’t about dumping a bunch of new information on you. If anything, it’s an encouraging nudge: “We know this stuff… so let’s actually live like we love Him.”

We’ll look at the practical, basic habits of the Christian life; Bible reading, prayer, and gathering together, and we’ll reconnect them to the source. The goal isn’t more “doing”; it’s renewed motivation. We want to move from “I have to” to “I get to,” simply because of who Jesus is and what He’s done for us.

We’d love for you to pull up a chair. Whether you’ve been following Jesus for decades or you’re just starting to get curious, there is a place for you here. Come along and let’s learn to live “for the love of God” together.
