Work—it fills most of our week, we let it shape much of our identity, and yet, for many of us, it still feels confusing. Is it just about paying the bills? Chasing a dream? Doing something that matters? Whether you’re climbing the ladder, clock-watching till Friday, or figuring out what’s next, chances are you’ve asked: Why do I work?
Starting Sunday, 4 May, join us for our new 4-week series: “Thank God It’s Monday – The How & Why of Work.” We’ll be exploring what God says about work—how He sees it, what He wants for us in it, and how we can honour Him whether we’re behind a desk, at home, in the classroom, on the tools, or between jobs.
Each week we’ll open the Bible to see that work isn’t just a necessary grind or a personal passion project. It’s something far bigger. It’s part of God’s story—and your place in it matters.

🛠️ Mondayitis – The Blessing and the Curse of Work
God is a worker, and as His image-bearers, we are too. Work is a good gift—but it’s also been frustrated by sin. Still, God blesses us through it and invites us to see it not as a way to serve ourselves, but to love Him and others.
🎯 Employee of the Year – What It Means to Work for the Lord
What if the way we work—our motivations, integrity, and generosity—actually revealed who we worship? We’ll think through how any kind of work can be done in a way that honours God and serves people.
🌟 My Dream Job – Calling, Vocation & Excellence
Should we pursue our dream jobs? Has God called us to a specific career? We’ll explore what it means to work wisely, use our gifts well, and whether excellence looks different when we follow Jesus.
🏗️ A Legacy That Lasts – Giving Ourselves to the Work of the Lord
Creation-work is good, but temporary. Kingdom-work is eternal. We’ll think about the work that will last forever, and how we can be part of it—at Salt Church and beyond.
